This course is suitable for students who have completed 5 years or more of Italian and wish to become fluent or for students who would like to keep up with their knowledge of the language and culture.
Discussions will mainly take place orally each week from a list of topics chosen together with the teacher. The content of lessons may be based on current issues which take place in the Italian speaking world and on students’ interests/requests.
You will also learn how to form a hypothesis with the use of ‘if clauses‘ using the subjunctive and conditional tense. Additionally you will learn how to use the passive and the difference between the direct and indirect speech.
You will also read a novel and complete listening exercises.
To extend your writing skill, you will be asked to write short essays mainly based on cultural topics such as History, Art and Literature.
